In this season, it is always good to take the time to reflect on the year that has passed and review what you have accomplished in your career and side hustles.This year has been a year like no other, which is all the more reason to look back and reflect on what we have learned and what has changed since the year began. In this episode of Design Life we chat about monetizing our side hustles, promotions, learning curves and finding gratitude in difficult times.
Take the time to stop and reflect on your side projects. Did your projects go the way you had planned? Were there times during the year when your productivity was at an all time high, and other times where it dipped drastically. What goals did you exceed and which are you attempting again when you have the chance in 2021? Be kind to yourself as you think back over 2020.
Reviewing and reflecting on your year with family, friends or your partner can be a good way to connect over the holiday season. What wins can you share, what struggles did you overcome, what disappointed you and what are you looking forward to - four questions to ponder aloud or journal.
Practise gratitude. After a very difficult year in so many ways, it can be difficult to find any silver linings. Something as simple as a nice home to live in or a friend who has supported you IRL or online during 2020 is something to be grateful for. If you can find even one thing to be grateful for as you think back over the year, make a note of it.
